Winemaking: Tawny Niepoort ages in barrels an average of three and a half years. The grapes come from low-production vineyards in the Cima Corgo region, in the Douro Valley. It is largely vinified in Lagares, before ageing in small old oak barrels in the Niepoort caves in Vila Nova de Gaia.
